# PRIVACY NOTES
LibreWolf rebuilds Firefox from source with telemetry, Pocket, Normandy, and other phone-home features removed. Defaults are tightened: tracking protection on strict, third-party cookies isolated, search suggestions off, DuckDuckGo as the default search engine. The project is community-run, has no incorporated entity, and refuses donations to keep maintainer obligations loose. Because LibreWolf has no auto-updater, you rely on your package manager or a manual re-download for security patches.
